We are delighted to be working with an award-winning, family-owned construction business who are seeking a talented Senior Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. As Senior Management Accountant, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the finance department, providing accurate and timely reporting to support business decisions. This is a varied, hands-on position where you’ll work closely with project and commercial managers across multiple sites, contributing to both day-to-day operations and long-term growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
Producing quarterly management accounts and project appraisals with variance analysis.
Supervising the output of weekly build and sales reports, ensuring accuracy, providing commentary on movements, and attending review meetings to drive meaningful conversations.
Supporting the Head of Finance with consolidated accounts process and forecast/budget preparation
Overseeing VAT return preparation, reviewing for accuracy before submission, and supporting pension scheme administration.
Working with departmental budget holders to support forecasting, cost control, and improved budgetary awareness.
Driving process improvements and supporting data integration as part of upcoming ERP/system changes.
Assisting with annual audits and liaising with external auditors.
About You
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
Extensive experience in a similar role, ideally within construction or property.
Strong technical knowledge and ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
Confident working with ERP systems and data integration projects, with the ability to adapt to new technology.
Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
