Senior Management Accountant

Job DescriptionWe are working with an established corporate FX and hedging provider to source a Senior Management Accountant.Our client is a specialist in commercial foreign exchange, the group services more than 70,200 clients worldwide with offices spanning North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. They have a team of experienced and professional FX specialists who provide local support to corporate and institutional clients.As a Senior Management Accountant, you will have ownership and responsibility of an entity within the business. You will oversee and report on this entity’s financial activity, presenting to the Head of Accounting as and when required. You will have two direct reports looking to you for development and growth, so some management experience is necessary.The successful candidate will join a company that has a collegiate culture and flat hierarchy. Key Responsibilities:Prepare the management accounts pack ensuring its compliance with the UK regulations.Work with the Finance team to agree inter-company reconciliations.Carry out regular reviews of the Income Statement and Balance Sheet throughout the month and at month-end, ensuring the correct accounting treatment for all transactions, identifying variances and trends, and instructing any required accounting adjustment to the Accounts Payable team or the Finance Assistant.Maintain and post monthly accruals, ensuring the inclusion of provisions for upcoming costs as per the advice of the relevant Heads of Department.Review month-end activities and postings carried out by the Finance Assistant, including bank reconciliations.Provide support to the Head of Accounting with the interim and year-end external audit process.Essential skills and experience Previous experience working within a similar role within a commercial environment;Previous experience of working within in a regulated financial services firm Fully ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified;Management experience Educated to Degree-level in a relevant field or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience;Advanced Excel skills, including V-Lookups and pivot tables;Experience using Workday is an advantage;Knowledge of applicable accounting regulations;Fluency in other European languages is desirable Please note that there is no visa sponsorship available for this role.Get in touch for further details.
