Senior Management Accountant

Manchester City Centre - up to £70,000 DOE

Our client - a fast-growing brand based in Manchester City Centre - are seeking a commercially focused Senior Management Accountant to join their finance team.

This role is integral to the finance function - my client are looking for somebody not to just come in and do Management Accounts - they need somebody who can assist across the whole team and take a large amount of control.

You will be bringing specific focus and structure to this side of the business. This will be an evolving role and requires an adaptable and driven individual.

Key Duties:

• Support the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning processes for logistics cost centres.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to understand the cost-to-serve model and its impact on product profitability and pricing strategy.
• Work closely with accounting teams to ensure accurate month-end close and accruals for logistics-related expenses.
• Overall responsibility over Logistics, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to deliver accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor and analyse logistics costs (e.g., transport, storage, third-party logistics, returns), identifying risks, opportunities, and trends.
• Prepare monthly logistics financial reporting, variance analysis, and commentary.

About You:

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of logistics operations (e.g., warehousing, shipping, 3PL management)
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite)
• Commercial mindset
• Familiarity with international supply chains and freight cost structures
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
