If you want to grow your career whilst finding the perfect balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunities to help you belong and make a real impact.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\nThe Senior Managers in the team play a key support role for evaluating and executing multi-billion dollar M\u0026A transactions that are high profile and strategically important for Vodafone Group. \n\nThe team has played an integral part in reshaping the Vodafone Group, It has executed \u003eUS$250bn of M\u0026A transactions that has transformed the Group\u2019s: (i) portfolio in Europe and Africa, (ii) market position through consolidation (e.g. merger with 3 in the UK), (iii) convergence strategy and position, (iv) infrastructure (e.g. creation of Vantage towers) and (iv) enhanced its capabilities .\n\nA Senior Manager enhances the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of M\u0026A activity, by building and maintaining decision support tools and producing business cases, valuation and financial effects information on potential transactions. They support other members of the M\u0026A team in the preparation and delivery of presentations and materials for transaction related decisions to be taken by the Group CEO, Group CFO and Group Board and supporting negotiating transactions with counterparties.\n\n\u2022 M\u0026A project work on all aspects of evaluating transactions including negotiation, valuation, due diligence matters, internal approvals and interaction with Legal, Regulatory, Tax, Treasury and Planning departments within Vodafone. Produce analysis to enable informed decision-making on merits, risks and implications of an acquisition or disposal by senior management and the Board. Prepare and review Due Diligence datarooms and reports \n\u2022 Build and operate tools such as detailed valuation and financial effects models for potential acquisitions and disposals. Responsible for the quantitative aspects of an M\u0026A opportunity, including the business plan of the target business, the valuation, potential synergies or assessing the financial effects on Vodafone Group \n\u2022 Maintain up-to-date valuation scenario analysis on specific M\u0026A targets. Build and maintain a knowledge management system and processes, in order to maintain up-to-date valuation scenario analysis, including tracking other transactions in the sector or valuation multiples of other companies in the sector \n\u2022 Liaise with advisers and counterparties to produce transaction related materials \n\u2022 To develop material / documentation for projects and meetings including internal presentations and approval documents for the Group Board and M\u0026A steerco on proposed transactions. Preparation of Working Group Lists, \u2018Insider\u2019 reports, reports to senior management on M\u0026A activity and other pieces of analysis on an ad-hoc basis\n\n## Who you are\n\n\u2022 Practical experience of business and/or financial modelling in excel \n\u2022 Experience in project management \n\u2022 Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with ability to effectively challenge more senior colleagues \n\u2022 Strong relationship building skills and management skills \n\u2022 Strong analytical, numeric mind \n\u2022 Ability to deal with diverse cultures and work effectively in a matrix environment essential \n\u2022 Degree qualified (Economics, Finance or Business useful) plus accounting background and / or MBA useful \n\u2022 4+ years Investment Banking, Private Equity, Accounting or Finance/Strategy/M\u0026A in a corporate background \n\u2022 Relevant experience preferably in finance in the telecom industry or investment banking \n\u2022 Public M\u0026A, IPOs, debt and equity capital markets experience \n\u2022 Experience of evaluating, negotiating and executing M\u0026A \n\u2022 Experience of deal integration planning or post deal integration execution \n\u2022 Chartered accountant qualification or equivalent\n\n## Not a perfect fit?\n\nWorried that you don\u2019t meet all the desired criteria exactly?
