Job Description - Senior Manager Safety Health Environment and Security (SHES)
Driving long-term continuous improvement of SHES in a pro-active manner and leading the SHES Culture journey on site with the ultimate ambition of zero injuries as a result of a solid behavioral safety program Providing inspirational leadership, displaying strong external orientation towards key stakeholders and proactively engaging with people. Leading the SHES Dept, a team of ~10 SHE professionals. Optimally deploying staff to facilitate employee development and succession planning, ensuring the short-term and long-term availability of a competent workforce to meet the current and future requirements of the organization. Leading internal and external working groups to improve SHES performance. Facilitating the exchange of experience and best practices. Staying abreast of both internal and external developments with regards to laws and regulations and all other relevant compliance matters. Monitoring performance and progress regarding SHES compliance and continuous improvement and reporting regularly to site management. Developing and implementing SHES KPI leading indicators with site management. Leading SHES audits within the organization. Indicating priorities for future work, based on risk assessments and recent incidents. Preparing annual SHES objectives and budget for approval by site management. Investigating SHES incidents and advising on actions to prevent recurrence. Keeping up-to-date records and files of all relevant compliance issues and maintaining valid certifications. Co-ordinating emergency response/security operations on site and contingency planning for major incidents. Supportive environment where individuals are empowered to progress and contribute to meaningful change. Ability to work well under pressure. Candidates must have a proven track record of leadership and project management. High levels of self-motivation. Risk awareness. Attention to detail.
