Job Description - Senior Manager Trust and Estates

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Manager (Trust and Estates) to join our Tax department. This pivotal role is for an individual who can manage trusts and estates, deliver high-quality service to clients and support the progression of the team.

Our client is an independent firm established for over three decades, specialising in comprehensive trust and estate services for high-net-worth individuals, families, and trustees throughout the UK. They combine the technical expertise typically found in larger firms with the personalised attention of a boutique practice. Their dedicated team delivers meticulous trust accounting, inheritance tax planning, estate administration, and advisory services, all characterised by clear communication and unwavering attention to detail. The firm prides itself on building long-term relationships with clients spanning generations, offering both the established wisdom of seasoned professionals and the fresh perspectives of developing talent to navigate the complex intersection of trust law, taxation, and accounting.

Description

  • Manage trust and estate accounts efficiently and effectively.
  • Deliver exceptional service to a portfolio of clients.
  • Support and mentor junior team members to foster their professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and professional advisors.
  • Participate in business development activities to expand the client base.
  • Prepare and review tax returns for trusts and estates.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level.

Profile

A successful Senior Manager (Trust and Estates) should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the professional services industry.
  • Proficient knowledge of trust and estate management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office.
