The Opportunity

A well-established M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and develop its Data Centre Division.

This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual to take ownership of a growing business unit, working directly with senior leadership to shape its future direction. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to build relationships, influence strategy, and establish themselves as a key figure within the company.

Role Overview

As Senior Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the delivery and growth of the data centre sector, overseeing projects from pre-construction through to completion while supporting business development and client engagement activities.

This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in the data centre market and the ability to manage both operational and commercial aspects of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of data centre projects from inception to handover

Take ownership of the company's growing data centre division

*

Manage project teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders

*

Oversee programme, procurement, commercial performance, and risk management

*

Develop and maintain relationships with clients and supply chain partners

*

Support tendering, business development, and growth initiatives

*

Report directly to senior management on project and divisional performance

*

Drive quality, health & safety, and operational excellence across all projects

Essential Requirements

*

Minimum 5 years' experience delivering data centre projects

*

Proven background as a Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, or Contracts Manager within the MEP sector

*

Strong commercial awareness and contract management skills

*

Experience managing complex M&E packages within critical environments

*

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities

*

Ambition to play a significant role in the growth of a business division

Candidates without a proven data centre background and a minimum of 5 years' experience within the sector will not be considered.
