Job Description - Senior Marketing Executive

Overview

As a credit union, our purpose is to equip our members and the community we serve with the tools and services they need to make their money go further

whatever their financial background. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for driving forward our marketing and developing the credit unions brand, enabling us to meet our goals in terms of sustainable membership growth, social impact, and take-up of our products.
Key Responsibilities

Developing an integrated marketing strategy covering email, organic social media, digital advertising and offline outreach, working in collaboration with the Head of Business Development and other senior colleagues.
Delivering innovative cross-channel marketing campaigns, focused on growing our membership and promoting uptake of products.
Managing of our social media accounts, including (but not limited to), Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok, building reach and developing our brand.
Implementing a new marketing platform with the ability to orchestrate personalised email, SMS and targeted advertising journeys for each member.
Using PPC, email marketing and other conversion-focused techniques to achieve monthly targets for membership and lending growth.
Working with the Head of Business Development to ensure that our digital marketing budget is spent effectively and in a way which delivers on agreed business objectives.
Using design skills to produce high-quality creative content such as graphics, animations, printed reports and website landing pages for use across our channels.
Producing, and appearing in, first-person and user-generated video content for use on our social media channels, focused on financial education topics and our services.
Person Specification

This role would suit an individual with at least two years experience in a junior marketing role, who is now looking to step into a more strategically-focused position with greater levels of autonomy. The successful candidate will be goal-oriented, with a track record of thinking creatively and entrepreneurially to solve business problems, while demonstrating well-developed creative and technical skills.
Essential

A confident communicator, with impeccable verbal and written English language skills, and the ability to write copy suitable for a range of audiences and purposes.
The ability to think creatively and imaginatively around business challenges, especially when generating insights into how our financial products benefit their users.
An entrepreneurial mind-set, with tenacity, a strong sense of motivation and a desire for personal development and to see the business succeed.
A social media user, with an enthusiasm for digital culture, wider trends, and an understanding of how they can support the credit unions growth.
A working knowledge of personal financial topics, including a basic understanding of the principles behind savings, loans, budgeting, debt and fraud.
High standards of professional and personal conduct, including a commitment to enabling our members to achieve good financial outcomes, including those with vulnerabilities.
Commitment to the Credit Unions mission around financial inclusion and widening access to affordable financial services.
Experience in managing both organic and paid-for digital marketing, including day-to-day management of social media accounts and Google and Facebook Ad campaigns.
Basic design skills, with the ability to rapidly produce content in line with our brand guidelines to a consistently high standard.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and relationships with colleagues, members and external stakeholders, including via external events.
Desirable

Some knowledge of analytical and statistical tools such as Google Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio or similar.
Technical skills in areas such as in web development or SEO.
