Are you a strategic Senior Marketing Manager or Marketing Director with a passion for children’s books and brand -building? Our partner: Our partner is the UK arm of an internationally established publishing group with a reputation for publishing distinctive picture books and non -fiction. With a growing illustrated list for readers aged 0 -12, they are building an exciting presence in the UK market. They combine global reach with the agility of a small, ambitious team, offering the chance to make a visible impact across the list and wider brand.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver the overarching marketing and media strategy for the children’s list and the wider company brand.
- Lead the social media strategy across key platforms, using analytics and insights to drive engagement, audience growth and sales performance.
- Create and execute innovative, high -impact campaigns for both debut and established authors, connecting meaningfully with young readers and their families.
- Plan, commission and produce engaging content, managing content calendars and monitoring campaign performance to refine activity.
- Work closely with sales to align campaign focus across print and digital channels, including the creation of campaign resources for retailers.
Experience and skills that will deliver success in this role: The right candidate will be a confident and commercially aware marketing leader with a strong track record in digital marketing strategy and brand growth. You will be comfortable working both strategically and hands -on, bringing creativity, structure and insight to a fast -evolving environment.
Essential:
- Proven experience in digital marketing, in children’s books publishing.
- A data driven approach to creating strategy and measuring impact.
- Demonstrable experience creating and delivering integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of audience development and engagement, particularly within children’s or consumer book publishing.
- Experience managing social media channels and content calendars.
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills.
- Experience of influencer marketing and brand building.
Desirable:
- Experience producing marketing content in -house.
- Experience developing retailer -facing campaign materials for the book trade.
- Previous people management experience.
- Experience working within a growing or evolving organisation.
