What will you be doing? 

The Role

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers with a strong background in rotating components for electric motor systems. You will contribute directly to the design and development of cutting-edge aerospace and high-integrity products, working from concept through to certification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical design of rotating components for electric motors.
• Designing with metallic, composite, and electrically machined materials.
• Development of complex test rigs (experience with DSD-type setups is highly valued).
• Creation of tooling designs for industrial manufacturing environments.
• Supporting certification activities in line with industry standards.
• Hands-on product design and problem-solving in a high-integrity environment.
• Utilising Siemens NX for CAD modelling and design tasks.

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in rotating components within electric motor systems.
• Aerospace industry background preferred, or similar high-integrity sectors.
• Strong practical understanding of tooling design in an industrial environment.
• Familiarity with industry certification processes.
• Proficient in NX Siemens CAD software.
