Senior Mechanical Engineer

You will play a key role in the development and optimisation of cutting-edge products for critical applications and delivering commercial interconnect solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in mechanical design, material selection, and testing methods.
• Lead design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex engineering challenges.
• Create quotes for NPIS and report on progress, including component cost, labour and overhead,
  plating, and NRE.
• Responsibility for configuration control for drawings, manufacturing documentation and ERP.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on new product development in a customer-facing role
• Hands-on CAD experience creating models and drawings to British standards (e.g. BS standards) with consideration given to design for manufacturing, tolerances and machining

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques

• Experience working across the NPI lifecycle from concept through to delivery

• Salary: Circa £50,000
• Location: Whitstable, Kent (On-Site)
