Senior NodeJS Developer - joining the Equal Experts network

The Senior NodeJS Developer will be responsible for the following:

Understanding business requirements and the ability to translate those into innovative and pragmatic technical solutions for EE clients.
Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, always thinking with the 'bigger picture' in mind.
Utilising Agile Technical practices; TDD, Continuous Integration, Pair Programming etc
Writing elegant yet simple code in NodeJS / Typescript.
Being a "Natural born problem solver"
Acting in a consultative manner with clients and thrive working in environments with high levels of ambiguity.

The following skills and experience are required:

Strong hands on coding experience with Javascript - heavily focussed on the backend with NodeJS although frontend skills with ReactJS / VueJS are good have.
You will have been involved with all aspects of software delivery and life cycle, from inception phase to delivery.
Understanding of design and architecture based decision making.
Successfully applied Agile/XP/Scrum practices and introduced Agile techniques and may have coached teams to apply them effectively, thanks to your outstanding Agile expertise and communication skills.
Excellent communication and mentoring skills, good verbal and written communication skills.
Ideally have 8 years + experience working in diverse Software Engineering environments.

This is an advert to join the network of Software Engineering professionals rather than a typical 'set term contract role'.

We're looking to engage with candidates in the Leeds and surrounding areas due to having project work here. Travel expectations are currently once a week onsite in Leeds, this may be reduced moving forward and we look for Consultant Engineers who like to develop client/peer relationships in person moving forward!
