Senior Operational Risk Manager

We are currently recruiting for a leading financial services company for the role of Senior Operational Risk Manager (IT/Cyber). ROLE OVERVIEW

Location: Milton Keynes

Package: £110,000 - £125,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide strategic oversight and challenge on risks related to emerging technologies, including cloud, data, and cybersecurity
• Advise on technology and digital transformation initiatives, ensuring risk considerations are embedded from design through delivery
• Lead second-line assurance over IT and cyber risk controls, ensuring they meet internal standards and evolving regulatory expectations
• Strengthen and embed risk frameworks, tools, and reporting to proactively identify and manage technology-related risks

Main Skills/ Requirements:

• Deep expertise in IT risk management, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure, big data platforms, and cybersecurity best practices
• Proven ability to apply operational risk frameworks effectively, including risk identification, control assessment, incident investigation, and scenario analysis
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance, particularly DORA, FCA/PRA, and BCBS guidelines related to technology risk (preferred)
• Excellent collaborator with a track record of partnering across 1LoD and Group teams to foster and embed a proactive risk-aware culture
