Working Schedule: Monday-Friday 06:00-15:30 / 09:30-19:00
Salary: £50,000 + Bonus + Benefits

An established and well-regarded distribution business is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee its Birmingham site. With a large-scale fleet and high-volume service levels, this is a key role managing the end-to-end warehouse and transport operation to ensure smooth, safe and efficient delivery to customers.

This position plays a central role in shaping site performance, managing compliance across transport and H&S, and ensuring seamless collaboration across operational and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop warehouse and driver teams to deliver against key KPIs
* Ensure legal and company compliance across transport and fleet operations
* Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the site
* Manage facilities, contractors, and maintenance to budget and compliance levels
* Control operational costs and drive efficiencies through continuous improvement
* Act as the key link between operations, customer service, and sales
* Promote a strong safety and performance culture across all levels of staff

Experience & Skills Required
* Proven experience managing warehouse and transport operations in a fast-paced environment
* Strong leadership and team development capabilities
* CPC/OLAT and IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications beneficial
* Fleet and driver compliance knowledge essential
* Hands-on, process-driven, and collaborative management style
* Exposure to facilities management, cost control, and quality systems
* MHE licences (Counterbalance / Aisle Master) advantageous
