Location: Aust, Bristol.

We are looking for a Senior Operator (Principal Operations Manager) with a background in civil engineering to oversee and man age the daily operations, maximise efficiency and drive ongoing improvement across the the project. You will need to operate as the Principal Contractors Representative for the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of highway & structures maintenance professionals, ensuring effective execution of maintenance activities and adherence to safety standards.
• A key requirement is to assume the Principal Contractors representative for the contract.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of maintenance operations, implementing improvements and innovations to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure strict adherence to contractual obligations, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
• Responsible for managing the budget for highway maintenance activities, including cost control and forecasting.
• Collaborate with National Highways, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, implementing proactive measures to prevent incidents and accidents.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, promoting best practices and innovative solutions.
• Champion sustainable practices and environmental initiatives in highway maintenance operations.
