Senior Paraplanner

Eventus Recruitment are seeking an Senior Paraplanner to join a successful Financial Planning business based near Chester, Cheshire. Working Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, on a permanent full-time basis, this is a great career opportunity with an established and successful firm. Role responsibilities

The role of Senior Paraplanner is to support the Financial Advisers in providing, implementing and reviewing strategies and advice to clients. This will include research and reporting to clients in respect of various types of financial products.

Main duties within this Senior Paraplanner job will include:

• Supporting Consultants in preparing accurate financial plans and suitability reports.
• Supporting the Advisers in research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives.
• Having a full understanding of Holistic Financial Planning (Lifestyle Planning).
• Dealing with all aspects of advice, such as Inheritance Tax Planning and Trusts etc…
• Continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs.
• Managing individual workflow and delivery.
• Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner.
• Meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally.
• Providing technical guidance to the Administration department, assisting with product specific, technical and compliance-based queries.
• Working with CST to ensure advice is implemented accurately and compliantly.

Person specification

The incoming Senior Paraplanner will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

• Excellent understanding of the financial planning and financial advice process.
• Excellent report writing skills.
• Experience of cashflow forecasting.
• Confident and credible when attending client meetings.
• Proficient IT skills. This should include knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience working in a Paraplanning role.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Attention to quality, detail and accuracy and getting it right first time.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Flexible and able to deal with a multitude of tasks at once, able to prioritise when there are apparent conflicts of time or resource.
• Client focused; friendly, helpful and considerate to all.
• Show initiative, being able to motivate & manage oneself and to have a desire to improve and develop.
• Enjoys working with other people and works well in a team environment.
