Job purpose:
To provide paraplanning support for our team of Financial Advisers and to mentor and train our team of Paraplanners. The role entails helping to formulate financial plans and strategies as well as report writing.

Specific tasks include:
N.B. This list is not exhaustive and is to be used as a guide to the main duties and responsibilities of the post-holder and is subject to change in accordance with the needs of the business.
Contributing to the review, enhancement and streamlining of technical research, report writing processes, systems and procedures to increase efficiencies in the team.
Responsibility for training, coaching and mentoring all Paraplanners and Technicians including induction training, ongoing training and support.
Responsibility for managing process, tasks and ensuring conformity with FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) and compliance rules.
Maintaining a good understanding of products across the UK marketplace along with up-to-date knowledge of budget, legislative, industry or compliance changes, and responsibility for updating suitability letter templates and cascading the relevant information, as necessary.
Ensuring fact finds and client records contain sufficient Know Your Client information to demonstrate suitability of the advice, and that they are accurate and up to date.
Carrying out necessary technical research and analysis to support the Financial Advisers and meet client needs and objectives.
Preparing cashflow modelling reports to assist with client retirement planning.
Preparing suitability letters across a wide range of advice types, financial products, investment, and pension solutions ensuring they are issued in the appropriate timeframe and with the necessary accompanying documentation.
Providing the Financial Advisers with any notes that may help when presenting to clients or where relevant, accompanying the Financial Advisers to client meetings.
Comply with the Financial Services Acts, the FCA Statements of Principles & Code of Practice and the relevant FCA rules at all times
Comply with the relevant compliance, Consumer Duty, TCF, T&C and financial crime (anti-money laundering, data security, anti-bribery, fraud and corruption) procedures of the firm at all times
Keep up-to-date with all relevant product, legislative and technical changes
Follow appropriate ethical standards within the firm at all times
Ensure CPD requirements are met and maintain up-to-date training records
Regularly read industry press and research material to update and increase knowledge and understanding
Keep up-to-date with compliance changes and update Suitability Report templates accordingly
Maintain all standards of performance as required by the firm
Assist your colleagues with technical enquiries and provide support when needed
Contribute to the projects where required
Act to deliver good outcomes for retail customers and adhere to the 6 FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) individual conduct rules.
Any other duties that may be reasonably required
