Senior Paraplanner- Birmingham - Up to £65K

We are working with a well-established wealth planning firm in Birmingham that is looking for an experienced Senior Paraplanner to take on a lead role within the business. This position offers the opportunity to mentor junior team members and play a key role in shaping the firm’s paraplanning function. The firm provides holistic financial planning solutions to company owners, HNWIs, and mass affluent clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Paraplanner who enjoys working closely with advisers, overseeing technical research and report writing, and contributing to the development of best practices within the team.

What’s on offer?

• Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a preferably qualifiedParaplanner (Diploma qualified or working towards Chartered status)

• Have experience in an independent wealth planning firm

• Be proficient with financial planning tools such as FEAnalytics, Cashflow Modelling, Dynamic Planner Risk Profiling, and Product Research

• Have experience with a wide range of financial products including pensions, investments, and protection across multiple providers

• Be technology-driven and process-oriented to improve efficiency

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the lead Paraplanner, overseeing technical research and mentoring junior team members

• Prepare suitability reports and financial planning proposals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

• Perform cashflow modelling and risk profiling to assess the impact of financial recommendations

• Monitor investment performance and conduct fund comparisons using tools such as FEAnalytics

• Work closely with advisers and attend client meetings, supporting the formulation of financial planning strategies
