Job Description - Senior Payroll Advisor

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing top-35 accountancy practice that provides expert solutions to entrepreneurial businesses and private individuals across Central and Southern England. With multiple offices across Central and Southern England and ambitious growth plans ahead, a new opportunity has been created for a Group Talent Acquisition Specialist / Advisor to join the People & Culture team. This is a permanent, full-time role offering hybrid and flexible working. While based in either Oxford or Reading, the role will require ad-hoc travel across offices.
The Role Reporting to the Group Talent Acquisition Manager, you will own and manage the end-to-end recruitment process for a broad range of mid-level roles across Audit, Accounts, Tax, Outsourcing and Corporate Functions.
Key responsibilities include:
End-to-End Recruitment Delivery
Managing the full recruitment lifecycle for part-qualified, newly qualified and mid-level corporate functions roles. Partnering with hiring managers and senior stakeholders to define requirements, develop job specifications and advise on hiring strategies. Screening, shortlisting and interviewing candidates while ensuring a professional, efficient and inclusive candidate experience throughout.
Candidate Sourcing
Using a range of sourcing methods including LinkedIn Recruiter, specialist job boards, referrals, internal mobility initiatives, networking and recruitment agencies. Managing agency relationships, negotiating competitive terms, ensuring compliance and monitoring performance.
Stakeholder & Hiring Manager Support
Acting as a trusted advisor to partners, directors and hiring managers. Supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses and ensuring a consistent, standardised recruitment approach. Providing market insight, salary benchmarking and best-practice guidance.
Recruitment Operations & Process Improvement
Becoming an expert user of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), HiBob. Maintaining accurate data and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and cost-effectiveness across recruitment processes.
Compliance, Governance & DEI
Ensuring recruitment activities comply with employment legislation, GDPR and internal governance standards. Promoting inclusive hiring practices and supporting wider DEI initiatives.
Collaboration & Onboarding
Working closely with HR, Learning & Development, IT, Marketing and Finance. Supporting the offer and onboarding process, including documentation, right-to-work and reference checks, and new starter communications.
