Job Description - Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist

Central London (open to other regional locations).
£45,000 - £55,000 + excellent benefits.
Hybrid (2-3 days from home).

Title: Senior Payroll Specialist
Location: Central London (open to other regional locations)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + excellent benefits
Working Structure: Hybrid (2-3 days from home)

JGA is working in partnership with a fast-growing, market-leading organisation seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Payroll Specialist to lead UK payroll operations across a multi-entity structure.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven professional who excels in independent roles, is passionate about process improvement, and is committed to delivering accurate, compliant payroll at scale.

What You’ll Do:

ke full ownership of the UK payroll process across multiple entities and pay frequencies
Lead end-to-end payroll activities including monthly processing, reconciliation, statutory submissions, and year-end reporting
Provide accurate payroll reporting and insights to support Finance, Audit, and compliance functions
Administer employee benefits and maintain effective relationships with third-party providers
Ensure compliance with HMRC and pension regulations, including auto-enrolment, P60s, and P11Ds
Collaborate on cross-functional operational projects and contribute to building scalable payroll processes
Champion continuous improvement of payroll systems, internal controls, and the overall employee payroll experience

What You’ll Need:

Demonstrated expertise in managing full-cycle UK payroll operations in-house
Solid knowledge of UK payroll and pension legislation
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with People and Finance teams
Experienced in using payroll and HRIS systems
Exceptional attention to detail with strong skills in Excel and data reporting
Familiarity with benefits administration or a keen interest in managing flexible benefits initiatives
