About the role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join their team in East Hertfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll professional who excels under pressure, loves accuracy, and has proven expertise in manual payroll processing.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing end-to-end, high-volume payroll with a focus on accuracy and compliance
Confidently handling complex manual calculations and payroll queries
Maintaining meticulous payroll records and ensuring data integrity
Liaising with pension providers and managing scheme administration
Supporting HR administration to ensure smooth employee processes
Candidate requirements:
Strong, proven experience in payroll, especially manual payroll calculations (essential)
In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance
Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and pivot tables
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
Effective communicator with a proactive problem-solving approach
Familiarity with payroll systems and HR processes
Location: East Hertfordshire — fully office based, easily commutable from London and surrounding areas.
