The Role

As a Senior Peatland Hydrology Consultant, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality environmental consultancy services, with a focus on peatland restoration, management, and assessment. Working across a range of sectors, you’ll lead on the preparation of peatland surveys, feasibility studies, Peat Management Plans, and contribute to technical chapters of EIARs. This hybrid role combines office-based work with site surveys in rural locations, offering a varied and rewarding opportunity to contribute to sustainable development.

What’s Required?

The ideal candidate for the role will have some of the following:

• Strong experience in peatland hydrology, ideally within consultancy

• Strong knowledge of the Peatland Code and Peatland ACTION framework

• Direct experience in undertaking peatland surveys and writing technical assessments

• A relevant environmental degree and membership of a professional body (working towards Chartered status)

• Full UK driving licence
