Senior Town Planner – Leeds City Centre

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Senior Town Planner to join a respected and growing planning consultancy based in Leeds City Centre. This is a fantastic chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects — from urban regeneration and mixed -use developments to strategic residential and commercial schemes — while taking real ownership of your work in a collaborative and supportive team environment.

You’ll be joining a consultancy known for its creative approach to planning and its ability to deliver successful outcomes for clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and contribute to a wide range of planning applications, appeals, and development appraisals.
  

• Provide expert planning advice and lead client communications on a variety of schemes.
  

• Undertake site appraisals, research, and analysis to inform development strategies.
  

• Prepare high -quality planning statements, design and access statements, and committee reports.
  

• Engage with local planning authorities, stakeholders, and multi -disciplinary teams to drive successful project delivery.
  

• Mentor junior planners and support the continued growth of the planning team.
  

About You

• Around 4 years’ post -qualification experience in town planning, ideally within consultancy or a local authority setting.
  

• MRTPI Chartered (or actively working towards chartership within the next 12 months).
  

• Strong working knowledge of UK planning policy, legislation, and the development management process.
  

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and report -writing skills.
  

• A proactive and commercially minded planner who enjoys managing projects and building strong client relationships.
