The Role

As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in the delivery of planning projects from initial appraisal through to determination and appeal where required.

Working closely with colleagues across the wider business, you will gain exposure to a broad range of development projects and planning challenges.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing planning applications and appeals across a range of sectors
  
• Providing strategic planning advice to clients
  
• Undertaking site appraisals and planning due diligence work
  
• Preparing planning statements, representations and supporting documentation
  
• Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders and project teams
  
• Managing client relationships and contributing to project delivery
  
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
  
• Assisting with business development and networking activities

About You

We are keen to speak with motivated planning professionals who are looking to progress within a consultancy environment.

You will ideally have:

• MRTPI Chartered status, or be working towards Chartership
  
• Experience within a planning consultancy, local authority or developer environment
  
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
  
• Experience preparing and managing planning applications
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• Strong report writing and project management ability
  
• Commercial awareness and confidence dealing directly with clients
  
• A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving
