Senior Planning Consultant

FutureGen Recruitment is working in partnership with a highly respected and rapidly growing multi -disciplinary consultancy to recruit an experienced Senior Town Planner to join their expanding Gatwick -based Planning team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded planner who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working within a friendly and ambitious environment. You’ll be joining a fast -paced team delivering a diverse portfolio of work across the South of England, including residential, commercial, education and strategic development projects.

The Role

As Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in supporting and leading planning projects, working closely with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities. You’ll be involved in the full planning lifecycle, from early -stage strategy through to submission and delivery.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing and progressing planning applications and project workstreams
  

• Liaising with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders
  

• Attending client meetings and supporting business development activity
  

• Leading smaller schemes from inception to completion
  

• Working collaboratively with external consultants and an in -house multi -disciplinary team
  

• Supporting larger scale strategic projects as part of a wider team
  

About You

To be considered, you should have:

• RTPI qualification (or working towards chartership)
  

• 5+ years’ planning experience (public or private sector)
  

• Strong written report writing and communication skills
  

• Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail
  

• Confidence managing deadlines and handling multiple projects
  

• Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in development
  

• Full UK driving licence
