Our client is a leading global trading firm with over three decades at the intersection of sophisticated technology and elite talent. They are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to own the developer experience end to end across 20+ engineering teams. This is not a maintenance role. You will be the architect of the golden path, with real autonomy to shape standards, consolidate tooling, and drive improvements at scale - including spearheading the adoption of agentic AI into the SDLC.

A seasoned platform or software engineer who blends strong engineering instincts with platform thinking. You treat developers as customers, dogfood what you build, and get energised by making other engineers better. Key responsibilities

• Design and operate the golden path, building release and run tooling that 20+ development teams rely on daily
• Enable product teams to stay focused on business domains by owning the platform layer completely
• Spearhead agentic AI adoption into the SDLC, making AI powered iteration seamless and safe across engineering
• Consolidate fragmented approaches to common problems, raising the bar on security, observability, reliability and delivery speed
• Embed with teams, consult, mentor and build a culture of platform excellence across the org

Key skills and experience

• 6+ years in software or platform engineering
• Deep expertise in CI/CD, including GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Concourse or equivalent
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Java or Ruby
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and comfort deploying across cloud and on premises environments
• Track record of elevating engineering standards across security, observability, reliability and delivery speed
• Informed perspective on AI agents as engineering tools and genuine excitement about what is coming next
