Leadership & People Management
Provide senior clinical leadership on shift, supervising and supporting junior staff, agency, and students. Contribute to staff development through mentoring, competency assessments, and appraisals, while promoting a positive, professional team culture and ensuring full compliance with mandatory training.

MDT Collaboration
Work effectively with Anaesthetists, Intensivists, Surgeons, and the wider MDT to ensure seamless communication, safe handovers, and a patient‑centred approach to care, offering additional support during peak activity.

Governance, Risk & Compliance
Ensure full adherence to organisational policies and regulatory standards, reporting incidents promptly, participating in audits and quality improvement initiatives, and upholding GDPR and confidentiality requirements.

Ensure efficient use of resources, support service improvement initiatives, adapt to operational pressures, and contribute to the smooth running of theatre and recovery services.
