Senior Pre-Construction Manager

We are working with a highly regarded commercial fit-out and refurbishment contractor delivering some of London's most innovative workplace projects. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking an experienced Senior Pre-Construction Manager to lead projects from initial client engagement through to successful handover to delivery teams.

This is an opportunity to join a market-leading business renowned for delivering high-quality CAT A and CAT B office fit-out projects for blue-chip clients across London.

The Role

Working closely with clients, consultants, designers and internal delivery teams, you will take ownership of the entire pre-construction process, ensuring schemes are commercially viable, technically robust and positioned for successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead pre-construction activities from enquiry through to contract award.
Manage and coordinate bid submissions, tender responses and client presentations.
Work closely with estimating, commercial, design and operations teams.
Review project risks, opportunities and buildability considerations.
Develop programme strategies and procurement plans.
Coordinate input from specialist subcontractors and supply chain partners.
Drive value engineering initiatives and cost-saving opportunities.
Attend client meetings and act as a key stakeholder throughout the bid process.
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously ranging from £1m to £25m+.
Support business development efforts and help secure future opportunities.

Requirements

Proven experience within commercial fit-out, refurbishment or design & build environments.
Previous experience as a Pre-Construction Manager, Senior Pre-Construction Manager, Bid Manager, Design Manager or similar.
Strong understanding of CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects.
Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of tender processes.
Ability to engage confidently with clients and consultants at senior level.
Strong project planning, coordination and leadership skills.
Experience working on projects ranging from £1m to £25m+.
Stable career history within reputable contractors.
