Senior Pricing Actuary - Delegated Authority

Arthur is delighted to be supporting a senior pricing actuary role within a global (re)insurer. The role sits within a growing actuarial team supporting pricing, underwriting, and business planning for their MGA division incorporating equine, pet, motor and home. This role focuses on providing robust actuarial analysis, maintaining pricing models, and contributing to strategic decision-making across these product and is a great opportunity to support growth of the team working alongside leadership.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain and enhance pricing models used across the portfolios.
• Carry out regular performance monitoring and analysis of rating structures.
• Deliver insight to underwriters and management to support profitable growth.
• Assist in the delivery of the business plan through data analysis and modelling.
• Collaborate with wider teams including underwriting, finance, and claims.
• Contribute to the improvement of pricing techniques and data usage.

Requirements:
• Part-qualified or qualified actuary with experience in general insurance pricing.
• Strong understanding of personal lines, ideally mixed
• Proficient in statistical software (e.g. Emblem, Radar) and Excel.
• Experience with SQL or other data tools is advantageous.
• Good communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
