Senior / Principal Electrical Design Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a major UK design programme delivering infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects across the water sector.

Opportunities are available from Senior through to Principal level, with the rate reflecting experience and technical responsibility.

Working remotely, you'll contribute to complex water and wastewater treatment design with a particular focus on electrical, controls and instrumentation engineering.

The Role

You'll be involved in:

Delivering electrical design across water and wastewater treatment projects
Developing electrical engineering solutions throughout the design lifecycle
Supporting controls and instrumentation requirements
Producing and reviewing technical design information
Coordinating electrical designs with mechanical, civil and process disciplines
Contributing to multidisciplinary design reviews
Resolving complex technical and coordination issues
Providing technical guidance and input across project delivery
Taking greater technical ownership at Principal levelWhat They're Looking For

Strong Electrical Design Engineering experience
Senior or Principal-level capability
Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of electrical design principles
Knowledge of controls and instrumentation
Experience within multidisciplinary engineering environments
Ability to produce and review complex technical information
Strong technical coordination and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work effectively within a remote project teamExperience across water, wastewater, treatment works or wider process engineering environments would be particularly beneficial.
