Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer - Water

Location: London

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £60,000 - £72,000

Key Responsibilities

Own mechanical design outputs to safety and quality standards
Produce calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
Lead and develop CAD technicians
Manage subcontract design interfaces, including M&E
Scope and review third-party designs
Engage suppliers, review tenders, and support equipment selection
Manage design changes and documentation
Support design estimating and planning
Present at technical and client meetings

Requirements

Mechanical design experience in the UK water sector
Exposure to clean and wastewater, infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects
Hydraulic design and calculation experience
Knowledge of UMON or similar upgrade schemes
Good understanding of construction methods and drawing practices
Experience mentoring junior engineers and technicians
Chartered, or working towards chartership
Degree, HND or equivalent experience
Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
