Senior Private Client Solicitor

The Senior Private Client Solicitor will be based in Reading and will manage a complex and varied caseload, advising high-net-worth individuals on wills, trusts, estate planning, and probate matters. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Head of Private Client while contributing to business development and mentoring junior team members.

The Senior Private Client Solicitor will be:

• Managing a diverse and high-value caseload, including wills, trusts, probate, and estate planning.
• Providing expert legal advice to high-net-worth clients.
• Supporting business development through networking and referrals.
• Mentoring and developing junior team members to enhance departmental performance.
• Collaborating with the Head of Private Client to implement strategic goals and drive departmental success.

Profile

The Senior Private Client Solicitor should be:

• A solicitor with significant experience in private client law (5+ years PQE).
• Highly skilled in managing complex estate and wealth management cases.
• Proficient in providing tailored advice on tax planning, probate, and trusts.
• Experienced in mentoring and supporting junior legal professionals.
• Familiar with regulatory and compliance requirements in private client work.
• STEP, CTA, or equivalent accreditation is desirable.
