Job Description - Senior Process Engineer

Senior Process Engineer - West Midlands - Manufacturing

About the Company

Our client is a speciality chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturer based in the West Midlands who is looking for a Senior Chemical Engineer. The successful candidate will take a lead role in plant modifications, process improvements, and safety enhancements across our production facilities.

Senior Process Engineer – Requirements

Degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years’ relevant industry experience.
Strong knowledge of process design, safety compliance, and chemical plant operations.

Senior Process Engineer – Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and commissioning of plant modification projects.
Conduct and lead HAZOPs and hazard assessments for new and existing processes.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
Support R&D and project teams to optimise and scale chemical processes.
Advise stakeholders on technical design, materials, and safety solutions.

Please apply if you have experience in the following?

COMAH and DSEAR regulations
SIL/LOPA assessments
DIERS methodology and relief system sizing
Commissioning & troubleshooting on chemical plant
