The Role

At Capital Law, we are committed to providing top-notch legal services to our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement law and will be responsible for advising clients on all aspects of the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:

Advisory Services: Provide expert legal advice to clients on procurement processes, regulations, and best practices.
Policy Development: Assist clients in developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures.
Contract Management: Draft and review procurement contracts and related documents, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams on procurement law and best practices.
Market Insights: Stay up to date with the latest developments in procurement law and industry trends to provide informed advice to clients.
Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored legal solutions.

Key Competencies:

Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) with 6+ PQE
Experience in public procurement law gained within private practice or the public sector.
Experience in procurement litigation is desirable but not essential.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines.
Commercially aware with some exposure to business development, able to maintain and nurture strong client relationships.
Ability to contribute to our collaborative culture and assist in the development of junior team members.
Proven experience in supervising and/or managing junior team members is desirable but not essential.
Driven and ambitious with the commitment to developing the firm’s offering locally and nationally.
