Global organisation looking to recruit a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to join their business and drive strategic procurement initiatives

Your new role
This is an exciting role for a Senior Procurement Manager, Indirect (Strategic Sourcing) to play an instrumental part in driving the strategic direction of our sourcing strategy as you lead, develop, and execute commodity strategies within an assigned business unit, directly aligned to an overall business strategy & priorities as well as the business units.

Alongside this, the Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing leads and manages a small team responsible for the commodities across their aligned business unit, consisting of a Procurement Manager and Senior Buyers. The Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing directly manages, develops, motivates, and inspires them to be an engaged and effective team.
Furthermore, this role has the opportunity to learn and leverage the global buying power that comes from being part of the Linde group, as they collaborate and work closely with the regional and global teams sharing learnings and best practices of working.

What you'll need to succeed

• 8 years' solid experience in Indirect Procurement developing and implementing strategic cost-saving initiatives within Manufacturing sector or similar
• Proven track record of managing a strategic sourcing team and delivering high-level cost savings
• Ability to articulate business strategies and translate these into sourcing strategies
• Must be a "people person", strong supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills
• People management experience, positive, "can do" attitude with ability to motivate teams through change
