Senior Procurement Officer

Role: Senior Procurement Officer

Salary: £40,000 - £44,000

Location: Exeter

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Senior Procurement Officer to join a Public Sector organisation in Exeter on a Fixed-term – 9 months basis.

• Provide specialist procurement advice to a range of stakeholders
• Work across several different category areas that include IT
• Responsible for above-threshold compliant procurement projects in line with the Public Contracts Regulations
• Utilise relevant Public Sector frameworks where necessary
• Ensure a high level of procurement and market intelligence in order to implement best procurement practice
• Ensure that all procurement and contract management activity is undertaken in accordance with agreed corporate procurement process
• Liaise with stakeholders of all levels on a regular basis to ensure that procurement plans are in place and adhered to

The Person:

• CIPS L4 as a minimum is highly desirable
• End to end tendering experience
• Strong understanding of Public Contract Regulations
• Keen interest in sustainability
