Job Description - Senior Procurement Officer

The Role

This is a full time, permanent position working in a well established procurement team.

The senior procurement role will have coverage of multiple categories and duties will include:

Managing the end to end procurement process from spec to tender through to contract award and contract management
Supplier contract management, relationship management and performance management
Project management of key strategic procurement projects
Identify and reduce non-compliant spend
Negotiate and influence key stakeholders in the delivery of compliant contracts to ensure the best value for money

Nigel Wright Group is delighted to be working with a well respected, Public Sector organisation in North Yorkshire to recruit a Senior Procurement Officer to join their well established team.

The Client will support hybrid and flexible working.
The Individual

The successful Senior Procurement Officer will have/be:

Extensive category management-, planning-, project planning experience essential
CIPS qualifications and/or PCR procurement experience ideal
Strengths in relationship management, stakeholder engagement and analytical skills essential.
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Extensive tender management experience
Strong commerciality and dynamism - proven track record of delivering value for money
