Senior Product Manager - 14 month FTC (Maternity Cover)
Cardiff - Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office

The Role
This Senior Product Manager (SPM) will lead a team of Product Managers focused on the discovery of opportunities and outcomes across our comparison journeys. The SPM will collaborate with senior leaders across the business to agree priority outcomes and user needs and focus on the development of their team to lead discovery through to testing and delivery.
Important differences about this particular product role to set for candidates and recruiters:
- The individual will need a strong history of product discovery, able to coach and empower a team of PMs to lead discovery in their own areas, as well as leading discovery in cross-product areas.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Product
- Coaches, develops and empowers a team of Product Managers to effectively use discovery to identify and validate product change
- Excites and engages people on the product vision
- Promotes domain expertise, data, and user research to make decisions
- Proactive collaboration with business leaders, design, product and other stakeholders
2. Process
- Leads on discovery whilst able to share best practice and techniques with their wider product team
- Ensures outcomes are balanced effectively against different company goals
- Builds user/stakeholder feedback loops that provide valuable insight
- Communicates discovery outputs, plans and outcomes across a wide range of audiences from delivery teams through to senior leaders
- Define, maintain, advocates key metrics to measure impact of change
3. People Leadership
- Lead and collaborate with senior internal stakeholders on outcomes
- Takes ownership of leading on discovery finding solutions across people, process and technology
- Limit work in progress for the organisation by prioritising the most impactful initiatives
- Evangelise and educate your colleagues and stakeholders on the strategy
Technical and Behavioural Skills
- Strong Product Management background with experience of carrying out and leading on discovery processes with a team of Product, Engineering and Design (Rigour)
- A bias to action and ability to ‘get stuff done’, making every day count (Urgency)
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to tailor your message according to your audience and influence a range of people from the Board through to a graduate
