The Role
The company is looking to recruit a Senior Production Coordinator to work across a portfolio of projects on an initial short-term contract with the potential for the role to lead to a full-time position.

As a Senior Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for booking staff and coordinating resources through the Xytech MediaPulse scheduling system. This is a client-facing administrative role that requires an organised, detail-focused, and independently resourceful individual with excellent communication skills.
This position is ideal for individuals looking to expand their skills and experience in the production industry while providing essential support during the Summer period.
Main Duties
Responsible for the rotas of current staff ensuring they are scheduled where and when required for operational needs, also taking into consideration that they require a good work/life balance
You will also be responsible for booking freelancers/contractors in a variety of technical support roles using the Xytech MediaPulse scheduling system
You will be proactive in resolving issues, and in escalating problems to the management team
You will arrange staff training days if applicable, shift shadowing and quality control procedures for new freelance staff
Contact and book freelancers in line with finance tax and employment status guidelines
Expand their freelancer lists and assist with the induction of new contractors
Ensure that all personal data is managed to the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
Provide general administrative support and financial oversight as required
Skills and Qualifications
Their preference is for someone with experience in a similar role within a Live Broadcast; Outside Broadcast; Post-Production; Studio Production or Channel Management environment
It is essential that you are able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
You must have strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
It is critical that you have excellent communication skills (telephone, email, and face to face)
Should be comfortable with financial administration
Should have a proactive and enthusiastic approach to work
Previous experience of booking freelancers is essential
Previous experience of Xytech MediaPulse, or a similar resource scheduling system (e.g. ScheduALL, Provys or Farmers Wife) is highly desirable
Experience of using Excel in a working environment is crucial
Demonstrate tact and sensitivity when dealing with other cultures
Able to react tactfully and sympathetically to requests from staff and clients.
Able to answer occasional phone calls outside of standard office hours if required
Able to remain calm under pressure
