Job Description - Senior Production Planner

Are you an experienced Production Planner? Do you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Do you want to play a key role in driving operational efficiency and delivering results?
A growing engineering organisation in North Yorkshire is seeking a Senior Production Planner to join their team. This role is critical in managing production planning processes across the operations function, helping to ensure on-time delivery and optimal resource utilisation.

Senior Production Planner The Senior Production Planner will have the following responsibilities:

Lead and develop the Planning team, ensuring effective scheduling and resource utilisation
Manage MRP systems and master scheduling to support on-time delivery targets
Collaborate across Production, Procurement, and Project teams to align planning with operational goals
Monitor and optimise inventory levels, ensuring timely material availability
Provide regular production performance reports and maintain planning KPIs

Senior Production Planner The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:

Proven experience in a production planning role within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics Navision desirable)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups)
Excellent communication and organisational skills with team leadership experience
