We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to join our dynamic team. The Senior Planner will play a crucial role in overseeing the production planning process, ensuring the efficient utilisation of resources, and optimising production schedules to meet customer demands while maintaining inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning:

Develop and maintain production plans to meet customer demand, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts, inventory targets, and production capacities.
Resource Optimisation:

Coordinate with production teams, procurement, and logistics to optimize resource utilisation, including labour, raw materials, and equipment, to achieve production goals efficiently.
Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels, oversee 3rd Party storage arrangements whilst analysing consumption requirements daily, weekly, and monthly. Implement strategies through Planning methodology, delivering targeted availability requirements for

Materials/Packaging

whilst simultaneously focusing on reduction of waste & obsolescence risk.
Scheduling:

Develop detailed production schedules, taking into account factors such as product lead times, production capacities, and resource availability, to ensure on-time delivery of works-orders/production runs.
Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the production planning process. Implement best practice to deliver operational performance. Support CI and ongoing improvements to drive Business Profitability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, NPD, and customer Supply Chain teams, to ensure effective communication and alignment of planning activities.
Performance Monitoring:

Maintain KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the production planning, analyse data, and generate corrective actions to meet expected performance levels.
Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations throughout the production planning process.

Qualifications and Experience:
Qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
Experience in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management within the food manufacturing industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Proficiency in using ERP systems, Excel, advanced planning tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
Experienced in Business S&OP (preferably in the food industry).
Worked with Customers and Suppliers previously, Supporting JBP’s.
