Senior Production Technician, GMP

Walker Cole International is partnering with a global pharmaceutical company to support the growth of their manufacturing operations at a key UK site. This is a fantastic opportunity to join as a Senior Production Technician, playing a hands-on role in aseptic manufacturing and team leadership within a high-grade GMP environment.

In this role as Senior Production Technician, you’ll:

• Support daily production activities for viral antigen manufacturing in compliance with GMP, biosafety, and EHS standards.

• Lead and guide a team of operators to ensure smooth execution of shift-based processes.

• Operate within Grade A/B cleanrooms, managing aseptic processing and ensuring accurate batch documentation.

• Perform cleaning, steam sterilisation, and decontamination of equipment and production areas.

• Contribute to investigations, non-conformances, and reporting of EHS or quality-related issues.

• Work closely with the area supervisor to meet production targets and maintain compliance across operations.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing within a regulated GMP environment.

• Previous experience in a leadership position or in mentoring/training junior team members.

• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and cleanroom operations.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to lead others and work within tight timelines.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

• IT proficiency, with SAP experience considered beneficial.
