We’re looking for a Senior Project Design Leads to join a market leading utilities company at an exciting time of growth and investment. This is a chance to take ownership of large-scale infrastructure projects that will shape the future of sustainable water systems across the region.

As a Senior Project Design Lead, you’ll be responsible for steering the technical direction of key engineering projects. You’ll bring together multi-disciplinary teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient, safe, and sustainable project delivery — all while keeping quality, cost, and time front of mind.

This is a role that combines technical leadership, strategic project management, and collaboration at scale — perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, purpose-led environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional design teams to deliver effective, long-term engineering solutions
• Drive compliance with health, safety, environmental, and CDM regulations
• Champion innovation and sustainable design approaches
• Coordinate suppliers, internal teams, and external contractors through to delivery
• Promote digital concepts and best practice across all project stages
• Ensure designs meet customer and regulatory expectations

What You’ll Bring

• Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline
• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards)
• Project management experience within the Water / Utilities / Critical Infrastructure sector
• Strong understanding of project management principles and health & safety standards
• Strategic thinker with a collaborative approach
