Senior Project Manager

We are a leading housing association committed to providing high-quality homes and services. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team and oversee remedial works on our existing buildings.

Overall Responsibility:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing remedial works from start to completion, ensuring full compliance with all contractual requirements and our standards. You will ensure that quality of design, construction, and service standards are at the forefront of all development activities.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

• Deliver schemes on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
• Review and sign off on the completion of remedial works, ensuring all required documentation is in place at all gateways and handovers.
• Ensure team members follow internal procedures, including regular financial monitoring, updating cash-flows, and record-keeping.
• Maintain strict control over scheme costs, ensuring all transactions are checked and confirmed before authorization.
• Monitor contract variations and highlight changes and implications to the Head of Delivery.
• Ensure consultants are correctly appointed and all contracts and agreements are executed in accordance with Standing Orders.
• Regularly update cashflows and exercise excellent budgetary control over development schemes, reporting variances as necessary.
• Prepare and deliver reports to the Exec Team and Investment Panel as required.
• Provide support and leadership to other Project Managers within the team.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational requirements around Health and Safety and Fire.
• Lead consultant team meetings, handovers, snagging, and scheme review meetings, ensuring decisions are recorded and actioned within agreed timescales.

Experienced required

• Successful relationship builder with stakeholders such as statutory bodies, commissioners, and legal advisors.
• Proven experience delivering complex multi-tenure schemes or remedial works on time and within budget.
• Excellent communicator across a wide range of audiences.
• Highly analytical, comfortable with management data, and adept at setting and working to business targets, plans, and KPIs.
• Strong leadership skills, able to inspire team members to meet delivery targets and standards.
• APM (PMQ) qualification desirable.
