Isle of Skye £700 per day (Umbrella PAYE) 6-Month Rolling Contract 10 Days On / 4 Days Off Rotation We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a major infrastructure programme on the Isle of Skye. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of one of the UK's significant power infrastructure schemes, supporting the reinforcement of a 130km power line route through challenging and remote terrain.
The Project
The project involves the delivery of extensive civil engineering works associated with a major power line reinforcement scheme, including:
Road construction and access infrastructure Drainage installation Earthworks Over 100 bridge crossings Enabling works and associated civil infrastructure This is a civil engineering-focused role and does not involve electrical transmission, substations, or power systems construction. The scheme is currently progressing through development and pre-construction phases, requiring close coordination of design activities, stakeholder engagement, approvals, and construction planning ahead of delivery.
The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the project team through the planning and delivery phases, ensuring designs are coordinated, construction activities are prepared effectively, and project objectives are achieved safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:
Managing project delivery across multiple work fronts Coordinating design development and approvals Working closely with Construction Managers and delivery teams Overseeing programme, cost, risk, and stakeholder management Driving health, safety, quality, and environmental standards Supporting the transition from development into construction
Requirements
Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager on major civil engineering projects Strong background in linear infrastructure projects (highways, utilities, pipelines, rail, transmission routes, etc.) Experience coordinating design teams and managing approvals processes Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills Ability to operate effectively within remote site environments
Package
