Senior Project Manager - High Speed Food Manufacturing Equipment (Processing, Packaging, Inspection & Materials Handling Solutions) (Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:30) **Previous Relevant Experience is Essential OR Transferable Skills from a Relevant Technical Industry** Our Client is a Market Leading Company in the sector with an excellent reputation and over 40 years of experience providing high-performance automation solutions to various sectors including food & beverage, meat, poultry and seafood, dairy and bakery, ready meals, snacks and convenience foods, fresh produce, health & beauty, home care, pet food and other industrial sectors. Due to substantial growth we are looking for a Senior Project Manager focused on Capital Equipment Food Manufacturing Installations and Complex Engineering Solutions and Integration. Overview The Senior Project Manager plays a central role in the delivery of bespoke food production line solutions. Working closely with our Sales, Design, and Manufacturing teams, you will be the primary point of accountability for your projects; from initial customer engagement and concept sign-off, through detailed engineering and manufacture, to on-site installation, commissioning, and project closure. This is a technically demanding and commercially focused role, ideally suited to an engineer with strong project management experience who thrives in a customer-facing environment and understands the complexities of food processing or industrial automation. Key responsibilities * Project Ownership & Delivery * Customer & Stakeholder Management * Technical & Engineering Leadership * Manufacture, Installation & Commissioning * Documentation & Reporting Essential Experience * Minimum HND/Degree level qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience) * Proven experience in a Project Manager or Senior Engineer role within a capital equipment, industrial automation, or food processing machinery environment * Demonstrated ability to manage the full project life cycle from concept through to on-site commissioning * Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and customer relationships * Experience specifying mechanical components including conveying systems, motors, pneumatics, and structural fabrications * Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and MS Project or equivalent planning software Desirable * Experience within the food processing or food production line sector * Familiarity with food industry hygiene standards and relevant legislative requirements (e.g. BRCGS, hygiene design principles) * Experience with electrical and pneumatic control systems * Experience in sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes * Formal project management qualification (e.g. Prince2, PMP) or CDM awareness This is an exciting opportunity to join a talented team of individuals with an exceptional company culture that is fun, friendly, fast paced and focused on growth!
