The Role:

As Senior Project Manager, you will be the main point of contact between clients, internal departments and external suppliers. You will manage project scope, programme, financial performance, risks, resources and client expectations throughout the full project lifecycle.

You will work closely with design, technical drafting, engineering, manufacturing, operational and support teams to deliver practical, creative and commercially successful solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the successful delivery of project scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
Manage projects from contract review and bid stage through to installation, handover and project debrief.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their requirements and vision are understood and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Attend and lead client, design and project meetings, including national and international meetings where required.
Review project feasibility, scope, specifications, available resources and additional requirements before work begins.
Prepare and manage project plans, schedules, deliverables, documentation and progress reports.
Lead design meetings with technical drafting and project teams, agreeing priorities, actions and deadlines.
Manage project financials, including costings, budgets, estimates, contingencies, quotes, pricing and payment schedules.
Understand and manage contractual, commercial and legal responsibilities relating to each project.
Monitor project progress, performance, risks, delays, issues and non-conformances, taking action and escalating where necessary.
Manage scope changes and change-control processes, ensuring clients and internal teams are kept informed.
Coordinate suppliers, consultants, freelance staff, specialist crews, equipment and other project resources.
Ensure clear communication between clients, project teams, suppliers, contractors and site teams.
Work with engineering, manufacturing, operations and support functions to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
Drive the development of creative, technical and commercially viable project solutions.
Oversee the issue of site files, project documentation and all required records for each job.
Ensure final deliverables meet agreed quality standards and client expectations.
Carry out project debriefs and identify opportunities for future improvement.
Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, factory procedures and relevant project-management systems.
Ensure required NDAs and confidential information are managed appropriately across the project supply chain.
Support the development of project, contract, delivery and on-site procedures, including standards such as ISO 9001 and CHAS.
Contribute to wider business-development discussions, identifying improvements, resource needs and opportunities to strengthen delivery capability.

Skills:

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, Project Manager or similar leadership role within a technical, manufacturing, engineering, construction, production or project-delivery environment.
Experience managing projects from initial proposal through to final delivery and handover.
Strong commercial awareness, including project budgets, costings, quotations, contracts and financial reporting.
Excellent client-management skills, with confidence leading meetings and managing expectations.
The ability to coordinate cross-functional internal teams, suppliers, contractors and site crews.
A practical understanding of project planning, risk management, scheduling, change control and quality assurance.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive during busy delivery periods.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with high attention to detail.
A full clean UK driving licence and valid passport are essential.
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, including occasional overnight stays and working away from home.

Working Pattern
