Senior Protective Intelligence Analyst

The Risk Intelligence Center (RIC) delivers actionable intelligence on the global security & threat landscape, providing decision-making advantage and confidence to protect people, property and assets and to help make the world a safer place. 

The RIC is part of Securitas' new business unit, Security Risk Management (SRM), which is a holistic, intelligence-led approach to identifying, understanding, monitoring and acting on risks specific to each client and a critical component in the 'Insight 2030' strategy, which positions Securitas as the world's leading intelligence-led security partner.

As a Senior Protective Intelligence Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to proactively identify and mitigate security threats through comprehensive analysis and strategic insights. 

Senior Protective Intelligence Analyst:

• £40-45K per annum, dependent upon skills and experience
• Shifts operate on 4 on, 4 off (0700-1900)
• Based in Milton Keynes (in office)

Essential Requirements:

• You must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis, without the need for sponsorship 
• Live within a 45-minute (door-to-door) commute of the office in Milton Keynes
• Ideally, have 3-5 years' experience working in an intelligence or intelligence-related analytical role
• Strong knowledge of, and genuine interest in, current affairs and the global security threat landscape
• Well‑developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, constructively, and professionally as part of a team

The RIC is currently based at Unity Place in Central Milton Keynes; however, we are due to relocate back to The Park MK in Wavendon, Milton Keynes, during the first half of 2027.

The Senior Protective Intelligence Analyst is a role within the Risk Intelligence Center (RIC). The role is responsible for operating and supporting the delivery of intelligence products and services to Securitas and Securitas’ customers. The role is suited to someone with 3-5 years’ experience in intelligence and / or investigations. Direct experience in an operational role is essential.  The ideal candidate would have previous experience in private sector intelligence, however this is not essential for a candidate that can evidence robust understanding of customer requirements.

The primary focus of the Senior Protective Intelligence Analyst is to lead the collection, processing and analysis of data and information to inform the production of intelligence products and services, and disseminate these to customers internally and commercially.  The role will take the lead on complex and challenging customer Requests For Intelligence (RFIs).

The role reports directly into the Protective Intelligence Manager, and requires strong intelligence acumen, understanding of customer requirements, relationship building and networking skills, strong research, analytical and report writing skills, in addition to proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft Office and specific intelligence tools.

Working within a dynamic and demanding environment, the role requires flexibility and agility, including mobilising on short notice to meet operational requirements, and some evening and weekend work. The Senior Protective Intelligence Analyst will have an in-depth knowledge of the Protective and Global intelligence functions, providing support and guidance to both services and products. The role is Monday – Friday with a weekend rota. Travel may be required to visit customers on occasion. Responsibilities will evolve over time, with opportunities for ongoing development and progression.

Responsibilities

• Support the management and the Direction of intelligence efforts (reactively and proactively), including proactively identifying, prioritising, and tasking intelligence requirements within the RIC, for both general reporting requirements and client specific requirements.
• Support the management of the Collection of data and information, including use of intelligence tools, and manual processes including research.
• Support the management of the Processing of intelligence into databases, forms, logs, systems, templates etc.
• Support the management of the Analysis of data and information using recognised intelligence techniques and supporting seniors with more complex and / or demanding efforts.
• Support the management of the Production of finished intelligence products autonomously, or with support / supporting seniors, including (but not limited to) alerts, analysis (assessments, reports etc.) and investigations. This includes both written products and verbal presentations.
• Support the management of the Dissemination of intelligence products to stakeholders, including internally within Securitas, and commercially to customers, both in the UK and overseas.
• Support the management and the drive of operational excellence through ongoing Evaluation and Feedback of intelligence services, including maintaining the highest level of consistency and quality. Additionally, managing ongoing service development by maintaining awareness of innovation within intelligence to ensure implementation of latest techniques and tactics, best practice, and information relevant to the RIC.
• Support the identification and development of new sources and methods of research to ensure that intelligence products reflect latest methodologies and best practice.
• Maintaining awareness of innovation within intelligence to develop and implement the latest techniques and tactics, best practice, and information relevant to the RIC and own self development.
• Support management and seniors and provide guidance to junior colleagues in order to maximise their development, efficiency, and morale.
• Provide leadership to the RIC, providing mentoring/coaching, guidance, and support to staff in order to maximise their development, efficiency, and morale, and deliver an effective intelligence service.
• Work collaboratively with the wider Securitas organisation, including client facing staff and global colleagues.
• Work closely in partnership with other internal stakeholders and be willing to challenge the status-quo.
• Liaise and collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and agencies (both internally and externally) in the UK and internationally to build an intelligence network.
• Take the lead on complex and challenging customer RFI’s, prioritising the workload as necessary.
• Be able to support the Protective and Global intelligence functions.
• Support senior management with the implementation of new products, ways of working and organisational change.
• Be a role model for all other analysts in the RIC.
• Be able to work autonomously without direct supervision in dynamic situations.
• Any other duties as directed by the Protective Intelligence Manager.
• Demonstrate understanding and engagement with the Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, whilst showing a natural ability to recognise risk within the workplace and consider safety as a priority, complying with relevant policies, procedures and training as provided by the Company.

Essential

• Must have the right to work in the UK permanently and have a five-year checkable employment history, or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment
• Must live within a 45-minute commute to the office in Milton Keynes, or be willing to relocate
• Excellent command of written and spoken English to deliver intelligence reports to various audience levels
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage openly, professionally, and with warmth in day‑to‑day collaboration
• Ability to prioritise and plan own work and manage time effectively to meet objectives and deadlines, while remaining calm under pressure
