The role and what youll be getting up to on a day to day basis:
Littlefish is seeking a Senior Public Cloud Pre-Sales Consultant to come and join our growing Consultancy Services team.
As a Senior Public Cloud Pre-Sales Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to understand our clients' unique business needs, challenges, and objectives, and design innovative and cutting-edge technology solutions to address them. You will work closely with our business development, portfolio, and technology teams to ensure that the proposed solutions are not only technically feasible and cost-effective but also align seamlessly with our services and offerings.
This role involves pre-sales activities such as conducting product presentations, demonstrations, and creating compelling technical proposals to support new business opportunities. You will be responsible for producing the technical aspects within RFI and RFP submissions, showcasing your deep understanding of Public Cloud solutions and their potential impact on our clients' businesses.
Your main duties will include:
Pre-qualify and support wider sales and delivery efforts for large and complex sales initiatives, including holistic IT optimisation, consolidation, migration, transformation, and lifecycle solutions for existing and potential customers.
Support presales efforts by delivering proposals, RFP/RFI responses, business case development, and Statements of Work (SoW), which include overviews, scope, duration, activities, assumptions, deliverables, resources, risk mitigation, terms and conditions, pricing, and executive summaries.
Orchestrate and lead end-to-end presales for packaged services, including customization. Capture all aspects of Littlefish Professional Services engagement delivery costs and obtain necessary financial buy-in from Finance, Sales, and Support teams.
Build and maintain a network of cross-functional technical resources within Littlefish and across relevant partnerships to enhance productivity, increase business opportunities, and ensure rapid resolution of problems and escalations.
Act as the single point of qualification with sales and solutions engineering for all professional services engagements. Work with project management, engineering, and consulting teams to ensure proper scoping and pricing of engagements.
Experience in assisting the commercialisation of packaged services, including the creation of Statements of Work (SoW) templates, packaged service offerings, and financial models.
What are we looking for in the successful candidate?
This role requires a candidate who can effectively bridge the gap between sales and delivery teams, ensuring that proposed solutions are both viable and aligned with customer needs. You must possess the ability to skilfully balance ambiguity during presales engagements, delivering simplicity and certainty to the customer without creating unresolvable downstream challenges for project and delivery teams.
You will be Valued by Sales Teams: Sought after by sales for early inclusion into pre-contract engagements, remaining involved as part of a virtual team. Recognised by sales as someone who adds value to the engagement and alleviates customers perceived risk by positioning the appropriate professional services.
Proven experience in architecting and delivering solutions using Public Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong knowledge and experience in IT solutions such as cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), data analytics, cybersecurity, networking, and support services.
Knowledge and familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and DevOps required (open-source software knowledge and familiarity considered a plus)
Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, capable of demystifying technical details for a non-technical audience and explaining complex technical concepts simply and clearly.
Adept analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative flair for tackling customer challenges. Proven track record of understanding and fulfilling customer needs with tailored solutions.
