Senior Python Developer - FinTech

We are seeking Mid to Senior level Python Developers to join our clients back-end development team.

This is a varied and challenging programming role working with AI Engineers to analyse huge data sets ,or writing Restful APIs in Django to support the React front end.

You will need to lead projects by defining and designing systems, building proof of concepts, and delivering new service functionality - including APIs, data processing and automation.

You will play an impactful role mentoring other developers, also being involved in experimentation with new technologies providing input for new features and products.

Our ideal engineer has experience of working in modern FinTech environments, helping to build scalable infrastructure, alongside clean, testable code. We are looking for an engineer with experience to spot opportunities for enhancements and improvements to our code. You will have the freedom to innovate as you collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement new features.

You will be able to work in an environment that handles complex financial data modelling, complex access control business logic, integrates ML/AI prediction services, data visualisation serving and automation systems.

What You'll Be Doing

• • Implementing robust and scalable solutions in Python.
  • Developing, using and designing REST APIs to efficiently deliver application components.
  • Implementing performance improvement strategies.
  • Ensuring the quality of code by writing comprehensive tests and participating in code reviews.
  • Continually improve the codebase taking the chance to automate, refactor and document when it’s most impactful.

Need to Have

• • Minimum of 5 years Python coding experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong relevant academic credentials to Degree or Masters degree level at a minimum
  • Django and the Django Rest Framework experience
  • Amazon Web Services
  • Relational Databases - SQL / PostgreSQL
  • Pipeline building
  • Docker (AWS ECS) for uniform development/deployment from dev to prod
  • GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform
